Ten years ago my husband and I established the Woodsmith of Naples business name knowing one day we would put our talents and expertise to work for ourselves. That time finally arrived in April 2012.

John has over 35 years of woodworking experience and has put that knowledge to work building one-of-a-kind handcrafted products. Recently I began crafting with repurposed wine bottles by cutting the bottle and turning it into a candle. The repurposed wine bottle candles were beautiful and made special gifts which everyone treasured. Many ideas for gifts spawned to the next design or another new idea. The next idea: create a hanging vase with a repurposed wine bottle. Not an easy task but as the development progressed adding wood to the glass was a perfect solution for both functionality and beauty.

Since crafting the repurposed wine bottle candleholder and hanging vase we have created many beautiful works-of-art. Many with wood and glass like our candle wall sconces and tabletop candleholders, many also with just wood like our step stools and wall racks.

It is great to know we are building unique and beautiful handcrafted treasures, made in America, which will be cherished for generations to come.
